Enterprise Estates, located within Councilmatic District 5, and Legislative District 24, is situated outside the Beltway, just South of Route 50, and is bordered by Enterprise Road to the East, and Belvidere Road to the North.
The Enterprise Estates Civic Association (originally named Enterprise Estates Citizens Association), was formed in the fall of 1973. Dorothy and Bill Radcliffe arranged for meetings to be held nearby at the Church of the New Jerusalem. There were 95 homes in the community at the time the Association was formed.
After 40 years of existence, Enterprise Estates continues to be a welcoming, family-friendly community. It has grown from 95 homes at inception, and now proudly boasts a residential development of 386 homes.
To ensure effective communication with residents, a vibrant team of Block Captains serve as the communications link to ensure EECA newsletters are delivered, concerns are addressed, dues are collected, holiday food drive goods are received, and special notices are given out. Additionally, a 'Resident eMail Roster' has been established to ensure quick access to residents for awareness of any urgent and timely notification.
In 2013, Enterprise Estates celebrated two major anniversaries. First, the year 2013 marked the 20th Anniversary of celebrating our Annual Community Day festivity. Community Day has been the highlight of the Summer each year, bringing together friends and families to the neighborhood park for good food, fun, and fellowship. Neighbors gather at the park for laughter, music, games and fun for the children. Special guests from the County agencies are always invited to share in the festivities and serve to truly make for an exciting event. The year 2013 also marked the 10th year that stalwart resident, Mary Ann Queen-Johnson, served as the event coordinator. As always, she planned and delivered an exceptionally wonderful event for all.
Also in 2013, EECA celebrated its 40th Anniversary of existence. Prince George’s County Council Chair, The Honorable Andrea Harrison, bestowed a Proclamation to Enterprise Estates commemorating its longevity as a vibrant and family-friendly community.
